Jimbolia (Hungarian: Zsombolya, German: Hatzfeld) is a city in Timiş county, Romania. As of 2002, it has a population of 11,113.
The first time it was mentioned in a written record was in 1333 in a tax record of the Papality, as "Chumbul". It was colonized in 1766 with German ethnics and renamed Hatzfeld. In 1924, it became part of Romania under the current name.
