The Jino (also spelled Jinuo) people (Chinese: 基诺族 Jīnuòzú; own name: tɕyno or kino) are an ethnic group. They form one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China. They live in Xishuangbanna in Yunnan province, China. The Jino language belongs to the Tibeto-Burmese branch of the Sino-Tibetan language family. According to SIL International, Jino has two dialects that are not mutually intelligible, Youle (13,000 speakers) and Buyuan (1000 speakers). There is no official written form.
