Joe stations play a mix of 1970s, 1980s and 1990s hits with some current hot adult contemporary singles. As well as Perry's creation, it was inspired by the success of CHUM Limited's "Bob FM" brand on CFWM radio in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Other Canadian broadcasters copied the concept as well, adopting such brands as Corus Entertainment's "Dave FM" and "Joe FM". Joe also hosts a jazz program on the station, Tuesday, Wednesday mornings from 9am-12pm, where he plays a wide range of music, from Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington to the stars of today, such as Wayne Shorter and Branford Marsalis.
Joe also is one of the host of the station's weekly public affairs programs
