Joseph Michael "Joey" Kramer (born June 21, 1950 in The Bronx, New York City, United States) is the drummer and percussionist for the rock and roll group Aerosmith. It was Kramer who named the band Aerosmith in 1973. Joey Kramer briefly attended the Thornton Donovan School. Joey was frequently hounded during the early years by Steven Tyler to play more consistently, as Tyler's own background is in percussion.
