John Charles Bannon (born 1943) was the Labor Premier of South Australia between November 10, 1982 and September 4, 1992.
John Bannon had a rapid rise in South Australian politics.
Bannon resigned as premier in 1992 after his government presided over the collapse of the State Bank of South Australia, which left the state several billion dollars in debt.

Eamonn John Bannon born (April 18, 1958 in Edinburgh) was a Scottish football player who played in midfield.
Bannon remained a key figure in a great United side that went on to reach a European Cup semi-final, (narrowly losing to AS Roma of Italy), a UEFA Cup final, (losing 2-1 on aggregate to IFK Göteborg of Sweden) and the Scottish Cup finals of 1985, 1987 and 1988.
Bannon was also a Scotland international, making his international debut in 1979 and winning 11 caps for his country.
