John Dedman (born 2 June 1896 - died 22 November 1973) was a Minister in the Australian Labor Party governments led by John Curtin and Ben Chifley. He was responsible for establishing the Australian National University, reorganising the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and developing the Snowy Mountains Scheme. Dedman represented the Division of Corio between 1940 and 1949. In his current role, he is responsible for the day-to-day media activities for women's basketball, men's lacrosse, volleyball, women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's swimming, in addition to serving as the secondary contact for the remainder of Butler's 21 athletic teams.
Dedman arrived at Butler after serving several months on the communications staff at the Horizon League.
