John Franklin Alexander Strong (October 15, 1856July 27, 1929) was an American Democratic politician who was the Governor of Alaska Territory from 1913 to 1918. He was born in Salmon Creek, New Brunswick, Canada, and died at Seattle, Washington.

In 1781, together with Franklin, John Jay, and Henry Laurens, Adams was part of the commission of American diplomats that negotiated the Treaty of Paris, the pact that brought an end to the War of Independence.
