John Leo is a contributing editor and columnist for U.S. News & World Report. He is the author of four books: How the Russians Invented Baseball and Other Essays of Enlightenment (1989), Two Steps Ahead of the Thought Police (1998), Incorrect Thoughts: Notes on Our Wayward Culture (2000), and Islam: The Truth Revealed: A Clear Look at the Muslim Religion (2003). Leo has also contributed to numerous publications including Time magazine and the New York Times. U.S. News & World Report is a weekly newsmagazine. ... John Leo announced that he was retiring from writing his opinion column to go on to other projects, including writing another book, in his August 13, 2006 column entitled "Thanks for letting me be part of the conversation".
