John Martin McDonnell (born on September 8, 1951) is a British politician and LabourMember of Parliament for Hayes and Harlington. He was Ken Livingstone's deputy leader of the Greater London Council, and is a member of the Socialist Campaign Group. The speech of JohnMcDonnell, MP for Hayes and Harlington and chair of the Labour Partys Irish Society, which he delivered to the Connolly memorial rally on Saturday May 24, finally began to catch up with him almost a week later.
Trimble called for McDonnell to be expelled from the Labour Party - an action that was not ruled out by an unnamed Labour spokesperson, who said: These comments do not represent the views of the Labour Party [which] condemns unreservedly all atrocities perpetrated by the IRA and other paramilitaries.
McDonnell may believe that we are in the last stage of imperialist intervention, but the British government seems determined to continue controlling Northern Ireland for as long as it can get away with it.
