John T. Molloy is the author of New Dress for Success, New Women's Dress for Success, and Why Men Marry Some Women and Not Others. He showed women what clothing he thought was appropriate for their job and advised women dress for the job just above you (so if you were an assistant manager, you would dress like the manager). As part of his extensive research, he took pictures of working women, and asked other women what they thought their careers were.
