John Shea (born April 14, 1949 in North Conway, New Hampshire, USA) is an American actor who has starred on television and in film. He is best known for his role as Lex Luthor in the 1990's tv series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, John also starred in the short lived 1990's tv series WIOU as Hank Zaret. Later on in the 2000's he starred on the syndicated tv series Mutant X as Adam Kane. Shea, seeing that a number of his comrades had fallen in the initial hail of fire, dashed from the defensive position to assist the wounded.
Shea was mortally wounded by a burst of enemy fire.
Shea's gallantry in action at the cost of his life were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the U.S. Army.
