Rep. Shimkus is a cosponsor of H.R., legislation to amend Title 10 of the United States Code to authorize the Secretary of Defense to assign members of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps to assist the Department of Homeland Security in securing the borders under certain circumstances.
