Sir John Wheeler Wheeler-Bennett (October 13, 1902-1975) was a British historian of German and diplomatic history. Wheeler-Bennett lived in Germany between 1927-1934 and witnessed first-hand the collapse of the Weimar Republic and the rise of Nazi Germany. Later, Wheeler-Bennett was to became a critic of Appeasement and wrote a book condeeming the Munich Agreement that became a early classic of the anti-appleasement litearture. Wheeler-Bennett was best known for The Nemesis of Power that documented the German Army's disastrous efforts at playing politics.
