JonTrickett, a Labour MP They were shown around the Palace of Westminster and treated to sandwiches in Portcullis House, a new extension where many members and some ministers have their officers.
He had known the Trickett family since the late 1980s and visited their home, having been in the same year group as their son at Matthew Murray School, Holbeck.
Mr Trickett, who lived in the Beeston area until he became an MP in 1996, said: "I was shocked to learn that someone who had grown up in the area where I lived and which I represented on Leedscity council for 12 years should turn out to be one of the London bombers.
