Josh and S.A.M. is a 1993 American family film.

The film is a road-trip themed dark comedy about two young brothers who run away from home due to emotional conflict over the divorce of their parents. The two steal a car and head out on the road for Canada where Sam believes he can be deactivated adn turned into a human. The two naturally run into a variety of comedic (and sometimes frightening) situations. Along the way they encounter an older teen runaway named Allison (Martha Plimpton) who happens to resemble a made-up character called "The Liberty Maid" (part of Josh's story about Sam.)
