Introduction

Judicial Astrology is the ancient classical art and science of forecasting future events by calculation of the planetary and stellar bodies and their relationship to the Earth. It is concerned with celestial conditions, and their influences on events that would have widespread consequences on the lives of whole populations. The oldest known form of astrology, it gave birth to a wide variety of the applied sciences that investigate the human connection to the earth and cosmos. Judicial and Natural astrology gave birth to the sciences of astronomy , biology, botany , chemistry medicine, cosmology, and physics , among other applied sciences. Its practicioners studied the symbolic relationships of the constellations and planets to the Earth, and invented the tools of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry used in mathematics. Description & Classical History

Judicial and Natural astrology appears to be the first known forms of ancient astrology. While natural astrology figured in the technical aspects of the science in the forecasting of weather, and daily effects of the influences of stellar bodies; judicial astrology focussed on the interpretation of the celestial transits and forecast their effects on individuals, groups, and nations. Theology formed out of judicial and natural astrology, as many world religions continue to be heavily influenced by the ancient texts and astrological symbols in the major world religions of Buddhist,Christian, Islamic, Jewish, and Hindu cultures, among others. Theology is reasoned discourse concerning God (Greek θεος, theos, God, + λογος, logos, word or reason). It can also refer to the study of other religious topics. ... The classical judicial astrologers imployed complex mathematical systems to determine the positions of the Sun, Moon, planets, constellations and individual stars relative to the earth to correlate the past, present and future in the physical, and metaphysical environments on earth. They based prediction on only two factors: (1) correct mathematical calculation of the motions and positions of the planets and stars, and, (2) a prophetic spirit derived from God the Creator, by which their configurations could be correctly interpreted by certain inspired human beings. This ancient principle was restated in the Second Century by the judicial astrologer Claudius Ptolemy, considered to the Father of Western Astrology. Modern Judicial Astrology & Skeptical Treatment

Today, judicial astrology is referred to as mundane, or political, astrology; however, according to the classicists, mundane astrology is but a single branch of judicial astrology. Another branch is genethliacal natal astrology or, the casting and interpretation of birth horoscopes of individuals and families. The classical astrologers had for their study a large database of observations of cycles and patterns relevent to events in the lives of nation, cultures, groups and individuals. Mundane Astrology is the application of astrology to world affairs and world events, taking its name from the Roman word Mundus, meaning the World. Mundane astrology is widely believed by astrological historians to be the most ancient branch of astrology in the history of the world. ... Natal astrology is based upon the concept that each individuals personality or path in life can be determined by constructing a natal chart for the exact date, time, and place of a persons birth. ... In astrology, a horoscope is a chart or diagram representing the positions of the planets and other celestial bodies at the time of any moment in time or any event, such as a persons birth. ...

Skeptics of astrology state if interpeting the celestial influences were actually real; it could be proved by the tool of rational science. However, the classicists considered judicial astrology to be of greater validity than genethliacal; since its predictions are basd on firmer scientific foundation and more likely to be correct. To the skeptics, as far as judicial astrology and natural astrology was concerned, the classical astrologers stated that if the positions of heavenly bodies can be accurately correlated with events on earth, then the explaination of why these correlations are correct is not relevent.
