- Early on Friday, 2 June 2006 police raided a house in Forest Gate, East London, arresting 23 and 20 year old brothers on charges covered by the Terrorism Act, after acting on "specific intelligence". According to Channel 4 News, one of the suspects was shot in the shoulder by the police and sent to the Royal London Hospital. 250 officers were involved in the raid and Lansdown Road, Rothsay Road and Prestbury Road were closed to the public for the whole of Friday whilst investigations were carried out.
