Junicode (short for Junius-Unicode) is a free Unicode font for mediaevalists. It includes characters used in European mediaeval texts, in the Unicode ranges:

Runic (16A0–16FF)
Phonetic Extensions (1D00–1D6F)
Latin Extended Additional (1E00–1EFF)

Currency Symbols (20A0–20CF)
Letterlike Symbols (2100–214F)

Many characters not included in Unicode are present in the Private Use Area.

The following paragraph is in Junicode if it is installed on your machine. If not, a monospace font is used:
