Dr. K N Panikkar is one of the best historians of the country. It is his commitment to scientific methods of historical writing and principled positions in public life that evokes responses as that we can find in Wikipedia. This is no attempt to answer them. Hundreds and thousands of his students and all those who have read or known him will not be mislead by such stuff. But the interesting aspect of that hate note is that it accuses him as a leftist. What a wonderful way to despise a person. It is like accusing a person of being a criminal or anti-social. Food for thought!
