History

The station signed on the air on August 8, 1959 as KLIR and spent most of its life as MOR and as a Beautiful music outlet. By June 7, 1984 it would switch to Adult Contemporary as KMJI but would later tweak its direction to Soft AC and change its calls to KXLT. By 1992 it would reclaim the KMJI calls and evolve to All-70's direction in 1994 (They would also pick up the KIMN calls by 1995). By 1997 they would return to AC (As "KIM 100.3"), and by 1999 would evolve into its current format and adopt the "Mix" moniker.
