KMGH is a television station on VHF Channel 7 (175.25 MHz video / 179.75 MHz audio) based in Denver, Colorado, USA and owned by McGraw-Hill. Its transmitter is located in Golden, Colorado. It is an affiliate of ABC.
In keeping with all of this, on September 10, 1995, KMGH became an ABC affiliate while KUSA-TV, Denver's longtime ABC affiliate, took on the NBC affiliation.
Shortly afterwards, KMGH aired programming on a low-power station K49AY-LP in Cheyenne, Wyoming to bring ABC programming to Wyoming's state capital, which was one of the few areas remaining in the U.S. not to have an ABC affiliate.
KMGH instructed Klinzing not to interview anyone under the age of 40 to replace Minshall.
After KMGH decided not to renew his contract, Minshall chose not to search for employment as an investigative reporter outside of Denver because he did not want to relocate his family.
Klinzing, however, testified that she was instructed by KMGH not to hire anyone under the age of 40 to replace Minshall.
