KUVO is a 24-hour jazzpublic radiostation in Denver, Colorado owned and operated by Denver Educational Broadcasting. It broadcasts on 89.3 FM (and HD-Radio) in Denver, 104.9 FM in Laramie, Wyoming, and 89.7 FM in Breckenridge, Colorado. It is also webcast on the internet at kuvo.org (http://www.kuvo.org).
KUVO began operations on August 29, 1985. In addition to its local programming consisting of jazz, blues, and latin jazz, it carries selected NPR programs such as Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz and occasional live performances from its performance studio.
KUVO takes this power and makes it available to other non-profit entities within their listening community.
