Kai Khosrow is a character in Persian epic book, Shahnameh. He is son of the Iranian prince Siavash who marries princess Farangis of Turan while in exile. His father is murdered before he is born by his maternal grandfather Afrasiab. His paternal grandfather is Kai Kavush the legendary Shah of Iran who chooses him as his heir when he returns to Iran along with his mother.
