History

Shiozawa yearned to be a performer since his boyhood. He graduated from Nihon University Second Senior High School, where he learned to perform in its art department. On May 9, 2000, at around 4:00, Shiozawa fell down the stairway of his home. At that time, he had no external wounds, and insisted that he was all right, but his condition changed suddenly at around 10:00 that afternoon; he fell unconscious, and was conveyed to the hospital. The next day, at 12:54 AM, Kaneto Shiozawa died of a cerebral contusion. He was 46 years old. Seiyū Hidekatsu Shibata was one of the attendees at his funeral. Kaneto Shiozawa, a seasoned Japanese voice actor, succumbed on May 10th from a cerebral hemorrhage after a bad fall at his home.
Shiozawa, who was 46 at the time of his death, had been a seiyuu for the past 20 years.
Shiozawa also provided the voice of Luke Skywalker in the Japanese dub for Star Wars, further building on his accomplished career.
