Differences from Knoppix

• Kanotix fully supports installation to the hard disk ^[2]. Knoppix allows installation, but does not recommend it, and upgrading the system using apt-get may cause problems. ^[3]

Kanotix' future is currently uncertain, because a new Live-CD isn't released yet. However the Kanotix-HD-install and the update from the last Release to etch sources is supported FAQ.
