The first Kansas City Comets team began its existence as the Detroit Lightning in the original Major Indoor Soccer League in 1979. After one season, the team moved and became the San Francisco Fog. However the very next season, the team was in Kansas City. The team would remain there until 1991 when it ceased operations.
The Current Team
The team that is now called the Kansas City Comets has a long complex history. The team was founded in 1989 as the Atlanta Attack as part of the then America Indoor Soccer Association, which became the National Professional Soccer League the next year. In 1991, the team was moved to Missouri as the Kansas City Attack to replace the recently folded Kansas City Comets of the original MISL. In 2001, the NPSL disbanded and Kansas City with the five other remaining NPSL teams formed the new Major Indoor Soccer League. At that time, the Attack name was retired, and the team renamed the Comets.
Kansas DUI arrests give rise to two distinct and separate aspects of your case: the criminal proceedings, which are resolved in the municipal or district court where the case is charged and can result in fines and/or jail time; and the administrative proceedings, which can result in the suspension of your driving privileges.
Kansas DUI Diversion is essentially a contract between the county or city and the person charged with DUI in which the person charged gives up his or her right to a speedy trial and his or her right to a jury trial, in exchange for an opportunity to avoid a conviction for DUI.
Kansas DUI Diversion has one chief benefit: If, at the completion of the diversion period you have completed all the requirements of the contract, the criminal charge of DUI is dismissed.
