Kanto (not to be confused with the region in Japan) is a large sea-side region or state of the Pokémon world, and it appears in Pokémon video games, television series, and Pokemon manga, and is modeled after the region of Kanto in Japan. This region is home to the Pokémon League Headquarters at the Indigo Plateau. In the Pokémon world, Kanto is the eastern region, while Johto is in the west. Hoenn is supposed to be further to the south-west. Location in reference to Orre is unknown.


It is also the most featured region, as it has made an appearence in every generation at some point. It also wasn't known as "Kanto" until Gold and Silver were released.


The towns located in Kanto are all named after colours with the exception of Pallet Town, pallet refering to the beginning of your journey. When played on a Game Boy Colour, each town's pallet is its respective colour.


Gold Silver and Crystal

After defeating the Elite Four, you will be back in New Bark Town. Professor Elm will call you and go to his lab. Then he'll give you the S.S Ticket. Fly to Olivine City and go to the fast ship pier. You will board the Fast Ship S.S Aqua. You will have to battle trainers and find the captain's granddaughter and go to his cabin. He'll give you Metal Coat. Then the PA will announce the ship has docked in Vermilion City.
