Educated at Grove Park Girls School, Wrexham. Youth service for fourteen years and is a former Care Manager for clients with learning disabilities for Wrexham Social Services. She is also a former trained CAB adviser. She was also a school governor at Ysgol Dinas Bran, chair of the Youth Club Committee and is actively involved in the local community.
