Catherine "Katie" Boyle was a television presenter, well known for presenting What's My Line?. She also was the presenter for the 1960, 1963, 1968 and 1974 Eurovision Song Contests.

With Katie Boyle as the presenter, the contest was won by Grethe and Jørgen Ingmann who represented Denmark, with their song "Dansevise".
After Norway announced the votes, Katie Boyle said that she could not hear them and would go back to them later, however everyone else did hear them.
When Katie went back to Norway again the votes had been changed, thus changing the outcome of the contest and giving the victory to Norway's neighbours Denmark at Switzerland's expense.

Thomas Boyle I is listed on marriage certificate as a general labourer, and is said to be deceased by the time of the marriage.
Boyle, who is a dairyman, had been to William Wallace’s, near Moravia, for milk When nearing the race track, just outside the limits of the Seventh ward, the horse he was driving took fright, and ran away.
Boyle soon lost control of the horse and was powerless to stop the course of the frightened animal.
