Kazipet is a town in Warangal district, Andra Pradesh, India, one of the tri-cities of Warangal-Hanamakonda-Kazipet. It is famous for a large railway junction and locomotive (largely diesel) maintenance division. The railway junction is located next to a large granite hill (known as bodigutta), which is used to house radio communications, presumably for the railways. The railway station has several platforms (6) but the numbering begins from 3. Platform 1 is now largely defunct. Kazipet is well known for its convent education system with 4 major convent schools (St. Anns , St. Gabriels, Kakatiya High School, Fatima). Kazipet also has some telugu medium schools like run by South Central Railways. They are are SC Rly Boys Upper Primary School (Telugu Medium), SC Rly Girls Upper Primary School (Telugu Medium). Apart from this one state government run high school also exists. The town is diverse, with Hindus, Christians, and Muslims. Many of the residents are employees of Indian Railways. It is the hub connecting North and South, East and West India with more than 60 passenger and express trains passing through. One of India's best engineering colleges (National Institute of Technology, Warangal- NIT) is located within 1.5 mile from the heart of the city. The Kaktiya University [1] is 5 kilometers from Kazipet railway station.

 Apart from this, the tri-cities have good shopping facilities, good theatres, good food etc. One can enjoy his evening with cheer. 

 The city of Warangal is well connected by trains and buses. One can reach the place with in 2 to 3 hours of journey from Hyderabad
