In the fictional universe of Star Trek, the Keldon class starship type is produced and used by the Cardassian Union. Keldon class warships are each similar to a Galor class starship, but is taller in the mid-section and have two more fin-shaped structures on . They are long and narrow, with a raised semicircle 'head' at the front, two large fin-shaped extensions to port and starboard near the front, and a fork-shaped disruptor weapon at the far aft.
The Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Defiant" introduced the Keldon class when Thomas Riker reveals that the Obsidian Order was maintaining a number of enhanced Keldon class starships in the Orias system. The Order later used these ships, which also had cloaking devices, in conjunction with the RomulanTal Shiar to attack the Dominion ("The Die is Cast"). Those were the only two episodes in which this class was featured. Keldon-class ships were mentioned by name by Lt. Dax in "The Die is Cast".

A more powerful Cardassian ship is the Keldonclassstarship (which is similar to the Galor-class with more defined aft wings and an large trapzoid shaped pod attop the main hull).
The CardassianObsidian Order kept a fleet of Keldonclassstarships which were used in conjunction with the Romulan Tal Shiar during the sneak attack in the Omarion Nebula.
During the Dominion War the class was present in several major conflicts, they operate in large groups and swarm enemy ships, this allows them to overpower much heavier vessels.
The Galaxyclass of starships were the largest and most powerful in Starfleet during the 2360s and early 2370s, after which point they were exceeded by the slightly smaller Sovereign class in sheer power.
Several "Galaxy Wings" composed solely of Galaxyclassstarships were instrumental in defeating Dominion forces in the battle to retake Deep Space Nine (also known as the Battle of Bajor) in 2374 during the Dominion War.
Not a single Galaxyclass ship was lost during this fleet action (however, the Galaxyclass USS Odyssey was the first major loss caused by the Dominion several years earlier during the Battle of New Bajor (2370) when a Jem'Hadar fighter rammed its engineering section after shield power had been redirected to weapons).
