For other things with Kellogg in the name, see Kellogg (disambiguation).

The Kellogg Company (NYSE: K (http://www.nyse.com/about/listed/lcddata.html?ticker=K)) (often referred to as simply Kellogg or Kellogg's) is a multinational producer of breakfast foods, cookies and crackers, with corporate headquarters in Battle Creek, Michigan. Kellogg's was founded as the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company on February 19, 1906 by Will Keith Kellogg as an outgrowth of his work with his brother John Harvey Kellogg at the Battle Creek Sanitarium. The company produced and marketed the hugely successful Kellogg's Toasted Corn Flakes and was renamed the Kellogg Company in 1922.

The company owns the Kellogg's, Keebler, Morningstar Farms, and Kashi divisions or subsidiaries. It also owns the Natural Touch, Cheez-It, Murray, Austin, Famous Amos, Carr's, and Plantation brands.

On January 24, 2005, the former CEO (since April 1999) and chairman of the board of directors (since since April 2000), Carlos Gutierrez became U.S. Secretary of Commerce in the second term of President George W. Bush. Kellogg's board of directors named James M. Jenness as chairman and CEO to replace Gutierrez.

The Hindu Business Line : Kelloggs says Cheez (0 words)
The new launch also marks Kelloggs' efforts to move away from ethnic offerings (in the past it tried to launch local flavours like mango elaichi, coconut kesar and rose under the Mazza series of breakfast cereals) as such local variants of `fusion' cornflakes failed to make an impact on the Indian palate.
Apart from being sceptical about whether Kelloggs will be accepted as a snack brand, the new product is perceived to be a cross between a biscuit and a snack in a different shape and size.
According to industry sources, Kelloggs had set up a separate plant in South-East Asia for its cereal bar business but the unacceptability of the product led it to write off massive losses for the region due to which it had to hastily remove its cereal bars from the Indian market soon after launching them.
