Kelly Garni was best friends with Randy Rhoads lead guitar player out of the ozzy osbourne rock group through high school. Him and Randy formed many bands including the great Quiet Riot. Kelly Garni was a bass guitarist for a long time, with Randy. Kelly Garni later left Quiet Riot to pursue other parts of his life. He now works in photography www.kellygarni.com, having been best friends with Randy, Kelly still appreciates the support Randy and him get.

Quiet Riot was a heavy metal band, one of the first to become a pop sensation in the 1980s.
Founded in 1975 by vocalist Kevin DuBrow[?], the original lineup featured Randy Rhoads (guitar), Kelli Garni[?] (bass guitar) and Drew Forsyth[?] (drums).
After failing to break out of the Los Angeles metal scene with a record contract (unlike their contemporaries Van Halen), the group eventually scored a deal with Columbia Records in Japan.

Kelly Garni was a hard rock musician who is best known for co-founding a band with guitarist Randy Rhoads that eventually became Quiet Riot.
Born in Los Angeles in 1957, Garni's family moved to Burbank, California in the early 1970's, where he met Rhoads.
He played bass with the band for about five years, and appears on their 1977 self-titled album, and the subsequent The Randy Rhoads Years compilation.
