Kerian is a district in the State of Perak in Malaysia. It is one of the main rice growing area in the state.


The major town is Parit Buntar, while other towns are Bagan Serai, Kuala Kurau and Tanjung Piandang. The majority of the people here are Malays, with a sizeable portion of Banjar people.
