Khed is a town in Ratnagiri District in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, India .
It is an industrial town just north of Chiplun. It is a taluka place that connects Ratnagiri district to the Raigad district. Khed is famous for its festivals such as URS of Jalal Shah Baba and Dahi-Handi & Shimaga Festival. The Ramnavami utsav is celebrated at the Lakshmi-Narayan Mandir for 10 days starting from Gudhi Padva.


People of Khed are very proud of the Hindu-Muslim unity. They love each other and stay as a family and enjoy all the festivals together.
