History

Hayat Shaheed Teaching Hospital opened in 1976 as a training and biomedical research facility for the medical students of KMC, Khyber Teaching Hospital is now a major health care facility of the country.


Medical students start their clinical training in the hospital in their third academic year. There is also a College of Nursing affiliated with the hospital where future nurses are trained.
