The Kia Magentis (also known as the Kia Optima in some markets) is a V6-powered luxury sedan that was launched in Australia in May 2001 and in Europe in 2002.
The Magentis is considered a landmark car for Kia to reach into a new market of excutitive luxury cars, although so far sales have been slow.
The Kia Magentis is based mechanically on the Hyundai Sonata.
