Kinda is a municipality in Östergötland County, southeast Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 1,132.9 km². Of the total population of 10,129, 5,110 are male, and 5,019 female. The population density of the community is 9 inhabitants per km². The municipal seat is located in Kisa.

The Kinda Canal and its vital artificial section are part of a waterway that takes the traveller through an enchanting canal and lake system in southern Östergötland renowned for its natural beauty.
