King Seonjo ruled in Korea between 1567 and 1608.At first, King Seonjo was a good king who loved the people, but in later years, he was a greedy king. During King Seonjo's reign, the Japanese general Hideyoshi Toyotomi tried in 1592 to conquer Korea. Although this attempt failed, King Seonjo and his retinue were forced to flee north of Pyongyang, until Ming aid came,partly due to the fact that people burned Seoul, due to the fact that he had heavily taxed them for his own good.
