The Kingdom of Fez was a powerful kindgom in what is today know as Algeria and Morocco. It extended as far east as the gates of Tlemsen, (or Tlemcen), a town in northwestern Algeria. The Algerian-Morocco region was divided into two separate provinces in ancient times, Fez and Morocco, that were separated by the Bouragrag River, which empties into the sea between Rabat and Salee. Each province was governed by independent princes. Tlemcen (Arabic: تلمسان), sometimes spelled Tlemsen, is a town in Northwestern Algeria, and the seat of government for the wilaya of the same name. ...
