Kingsford is a suburb in Sydney, Australia located about 7km south of the central business district, falling under the authority of Randwick council. Its postal code is 2032. Kingsford lies directly south of the University of New South Wales in Kensington, and many of the residents are students living in medium density housing. The suburb also has a substantial Indonesian community. A large Australian Army depot lies in the east of Kingsford. Kingsford is named after the famous Australian Aviator Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith (it also lay directly below the flight path to Kingsford Smith International Airport. It also has a large Greek population (post-1950s) and the largest Greek Orthodox Church in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney).
