Plot

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Alex Cross (Morgan Freeman) is a detective on the hunt for his missing niece Naomi. He is aided by Kate McTiernan, who had earlier escaped a serial killer known as "Casanova" and Det. Nick Ruskin (Cary Elwes). "Casanova" is also Naomi's captor, along with over 16 other women reported missing. "Casanova" is a sadomasochist who brutalizes and eventually kills the women by exposure. Cross eventually finds the lair and is reunited with Naomi.
