Cllr. Klaus Armstrong-Braun (KAB) is an environmental campaigner and UK Green Party politician.


Klaus was born in Krakov, Poland in 1940. He was orphaned and moved to Germany before finally moving to Ireland as a refugee in 1944 where he was brought up.


He was educated in the Britain where he qualified as an engineer on the railways. He studied at the Chester College of Further Education, Liverpool Polytechnic, Manchester Metropolitan University and Chester University College.


He was a councillor on Broughton and Bretton Community Council between 1991 and 1995. He was a councillor on Flintshire County Council between 1995 and 2004. He has a keen interest in environmental and planning law, and has taken legal cases against governments to the European Court. As a keen runner, he has taken part in 100 mile ultra-marathon and 24hr races.
