Koenigsegg CC was issued to set work on in late 1999, this time being the era of the McLaren F1, the worlds fastest production vehicle in use up untill 2005. Koenigsegg had wanting to build a super car exceeding all standards of the McLaren F1, and speed over that awesome magical number of 240 mph (386 km/h) set by this car in 1997. The design started to come to life as of 2002, when the Swedish car manufacturer was hot on the rise and ready for production lines to proceed. Speed contest

In the late months of 2003, the Koenigsegg CC V8S design was boasting 245 mph+ (390 km/h) in it's final weeks of factory sealed. 2004 was the year for Koenigseg as early this year the Koenigsegg CC V8S was road legal and orders were coming in from all over the world just to get their hands on a prototype. Early 2005 the Koenigsegg CC, the faster and supposedly suped up version of the former based CC V8S broke the speed record set by the Mclaren F1 GTR 8 years before which was 240.12 mph (386 km/h). The CC hauling in at 241.01 mph (388 km/h). Bugatti was planning to launch the Bugatti Veyron since 2002 and quickly broke the speed record for the fastest production super car.
