Alexstrasza the Life-Binder, the wondrous and ancient Queen of Dragons, was empowered by the Titans themselves to protect the young world of Azeroth from the flame. ...
In Day of the Dragon, he persuades the human mage Rhonin to attempt to free Alexstrasza from the captivity of the Dragonmaw Clan. He intends on simply using Rhonin as a pawn to try to scare the orcs out of Grim Batol, but in the end Rhonin, Veressa Windrunner, and Falstad free Alexstrasza and drive the orcs from Grim Batol. Rhonin managed to destroy the Demon Soul, the artifact used by the Dragonmaw, and returned the power to four of the five aspects: Nozdormu, Malygos, Ysera, and Alexstrasza. In War of the Ancients, he is contacted by Nozdormu, the Bronze Aspect and Master of Time, and receives an urgent message to travel to the mountains of Kalimdor. There he is sucked into a vortex that sends him back through time, where the Night Elves first fight against the Burning Legion. He finds himself greatly weakened by the travel through time, and is unable to transform into his true form. He is joined by the human Rhonin and the orc Broxigar as they attempt to help the Night Elves defend against the Burning Legion. However, he hopes to avert the disaster that befell his kind with the betrayal of Neltharion, later known as Deathwing. They aid Malfurion Stormrage and Tyrande Whisperwind and drive back the Burning Legion, restoring peace to Azeroth. He gets transported back to his present time (thanks to Nozdormu) and tells Thrall about the legacy of Brox. In Sunwell Trilogy, Korialstrasz discovers the location of the remaining energies of the Sunwell that survived the destruction of Quel'Thalas. Forming it into the form of a peasant girl named Anveena, and granting her the illusion of a life and family, Korialstrasz did not become directly involved in the conflict surrounding Anveena until she was taken to Quel'Thalas by the maddened traitor Dar'Khan Drathir, who sought to steal the magic of the Sunwell for himself. Korialstrasz was briefly enslaved by Dar'Khan and sent to fight the blue dragon Tyrygosa, but some kind of intervention from a tiny dragonling (called Raac for the sound it made) broke Dar'Khan's spell. After Dar'Khan was defeated, Korialstrasz departed, leaving Raac as his eyes to watch over the avatar of the Sunwell.
Known Aliases - Krasus: Member of the inner conclave of the Kirin Tor of Dalaran, also known as the Six. He appears to be a tall, thin, elf-like figure, and is well-known and respected by his colleagues in the Kirin Tor. This is the name he is addressed by in both Day of the Dragon and the War of the Ancients Trilogy.
- Borel: Presumably his identity while in humanoid form in Quel'Thalas, this is the identity he assumes in the Sunwell Trilogy. What race he is supposed to represent is unclear, as he is a hooded and cloaked figure for most of his appearances in the trilogy, with the exception of while he is in dragon form.
In World of Warcraft Though Korialstrasz does not appear in World of Warcraft, several mentions are made in both the original game and the Burning Crusade expansion: - After completing the Scepter of the Shifting Sands event that led to the opening of Ahn'Qiraj, one of the rewards is an epic dagger known as the Fang of Korialstrasz.
- A high elf named Garek claims to have been sent on a mission by his master, Krasus of the Kirin Tor - the better-known mortal incarnation of Korialstrasz. Garek's mission was to awaken and slay black drakes in the Badlands south of Loch Modan.
- In the village of Kirin'Var in Outland's Netherstorm, adventurers are tasked with finding Krasus' Sigil and the three parts of Krasus' Compendium, believed to be powerful artifacts that Krasus granted to the Dalaranian contingent of the Alliance Expedition to Draenor.
