The Korinthos archaeological site is more than 6 km away (so is written in my guidebook, but actually it seemed to me more) from the modern town of Korinthos, and there are buses one per hour.
The train station and the bus station of Korinthos are close, and situate at a walking distance from the town centre.
The modern Korinthos is large, lively and wealthy city, but it is not a tourist attraction.
Ranked among Greece's most important cities, Korinthos is also a major transportation hub, famous by the Isthmus of Corinth (Korinthos) and its ancient history.
Its numerous pastry shops, restaurants, tavernas, bars, cinemas and nightclubs make Korinthos lively in both winter and summer.
The ruins of ancient Korinthos are spread out at the foot of the huge rock of Acrocorinth.
