Quotes

  • Spongebob: Can I make a Krabby Patty now?
  • Narrator: Now we go from behind the scenes to the front lines, where we’ll examine the most important aspect of the industry; the customer. Or as we say around here, the Krustomer.
Patrick: (who has just walked into the Krusty Krab) Who said that? Are you a ghost?
Narrator: Like precious, precious blood in an animal, the customer is what makes the Krusty Krab strong and alive.
Patrick: Squidward, your ceiling is talking to me!
Squidward: Are you going to order something or just make friends with the paneling?
  • Squidward: What'll you have, Patrick?
Patrick: I'll have a Krabby Patty, Please!

Trivia/Goofs

  • Revealed in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Complete Third Season as the #1 episode in the show chronology so far.
  • The music for the title card is simalar to that of the theme from Nickelodeon SNICK.
  • POOP stands for "People Order Our Patties." The Spanish version is CACA, which stands for "Clientes Adoran Comer Aquí." Those words mean "Customers enjoy eating here"
  • According to this episode, Eugene Krabs, or Mr. Krabs, has a fear of robot overlords.
  • An instrumental version of the song Eye of the Tiger does not play over the end credits. The theme to the end credits has similar music, with very much the same rhythm to "Eye of the Tiger" although it is not the song itself.
  • The sign in the bathroom written in English ("Please, wash your fins") and Spanish ("Lave las aletas") is a parody of other similar signs found in companies like Wal-Mart. The Spanish part of the sign is not a totally correct translation because it literally says "Wash the fins". A more faithful translation of "Please, wash your fins" is "Por favor, lávese las aletas."
  • At the end of the episode, it is sometimes mistaken that it is credited to have been animated by Spiffy Pictures, Little Airplane Productions, Billifords, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and Klasky Csupo instead of United Plankton Pictures when it is broadcast on Nickelodeon. This was corrected in 2006, when United Plankton Pictures is now listed as the producers of this episode.
  • Second of three episodes to have different credits instead of normal ones. The first one was SB-129. The third one was Ugh.
  • When you see Mr. Krabs at the vending machine as a kid, he puts in a quarter and gets the soda then you see a string tied to his claw with the quarter. You do not see a string when he first puts in the quarter.
  • Comcast refers to this episode as Crusty Crab Training Video.
  • The closed captions in this episode are off by two seconds.
  • SpongeBob knows how to make Krabby Patties in the episode he gets his job, but he still asks constantly how to make them.
  • Mr. Krabs says throughout the season that the Krusty Krab was the only place to ever get a Krabby Patty, however, at the scene where it shows the seniors outside the Krusty Krab, you can see a picture of a Krabby Patty in the window.
