The Kultarr (Antechinomys laniger) is a member of the Dasyuromorphia order. It is the only species in the Antechinomys genus. Native to central and southern Australia, it lives in a range of habitats including scattered woodland and scrubby semidesert. It is 7-10cm in length, and has a long tail of 10-15cm with dark-tufted tip. The weight ranges 25-35g. It has large ears and dark-ringed eyes. Its fur is fawn-grey or brown above and white underneath.

The Kultarr is carnivorous. It hunts at night, preying on insects and small invertebrates.
