It is currently ranked 7th among China's civil airports in terms of annual aircraft movements, annual passenger flow, and cargo operations. By the end of 2006, the annual passenger flow at Kunming Wujiaba International Airport has reached a new record high of 14 million passengers. Due to fast expansion of the metropolitan area and limited land availability, the growth of Kunming Wujiaba International Airport is likely to see major constraints in near future.
