Kutub is the plural form of the Arabic word Kitab (book). In the context of Islam, the word 'kutub' usually refers to the original revelations given to the prophets. Belief in all the revealed books is a fundamental tenet of Islam. The names of some revealed scriptures mentioned by name in the Quran include the Tawrah and Injil, believed by Muslims to be the original revelations given by God to Moses (Musa)and Jesus (Isa) respectively, and the Zabur of David (Daud) and the Tablets of Abraham. Other scriptures are believed to have been revealed to other people, but it is believed that all scriptures except the Quran have been corrupted over time. Islam   listen?
